Find out if it fits your vehicle

How to fit them (60 seconds)

1. Open the door and find the metal striker on the door frame — the U-shaped loop the latch grabs.

2. Push a damper over it until it clicks into place.

3. Close the door once to seat it. Repeat on the other three doors.

No tools, no adhesive, no drilling. They come off just as easily.

What is in the box

4 silicone dampers per set, one for each door. Black, so they disappear against the frame.

Every pack ships doubled: buy 4 and you receive 8, buy 8 and you receive 16. The extra dampers are free.

Will it fit my car?

They fit the standard rectangular striker used by almost every car built in the last 25 years — VW, Ford, Toyota, Renault, Dacia, Skoda, Opel, BMW, Kia and the rest.

Look at your door frame: if the latch loop is a rectangular metal bar, it fits. If you are unsure, send us a photo before you order.

Metal hitting metal. Every single time.

A car door does not close softly by design. The latch slams into a bare steel striker, and that impact is the bang you hear — plus the wear on the lock and the chipped paint around the frame that shows up three years later.

Four silicone pads sit in between and take the hit instead.

Installation

One minute. No tools. Four doors.

Push the damper over the metal striker on the door frame until it seats. Close the door once. Move to the next one.

Nothing is glued, screwed or drilled — so if you sell the car, they come straight off.

  • Fitting the silicone damper onto a car door lock by hand

    Silence on every door

The sharp crack turns into a soft thud. Leave at 6am without announcing it to the whole street.

  • Silicone door lock damper, product shot on white

    Paint and lock protected

The silicone absorbs the impact that chips paint around the frame and grinds down the latch mechanism.

  • Before and after: rusted door striker versus striker protected by the silicone damper

    Four doors, one set

The pack covers the whole car. Nothing extra to buy, nothing left to figure out.

Questions we actually get

Silicone door lock damper in the rain, water resistant

Does the door still lock properly?

Yes. The damper sits on the outside of the striker and is thin enough that the latch closes and locks exactly as before. It cushions the contact, it does not block it.

Will they fall off in the car wash or in winter?

No. They grip the striker under tension and silicone stays flexible from -40°C to +200°C. Rain, snow, road salt and pressure washing do not affect them.

How much quieter is it, really?

The sharp metallic crack disappears. You get a muffled thud instead of a bang — the difference between closing a door at 6am and waking the street.

Can I use them on the boot as well?

The boot, yes, if it uses the same rectangular striker. The bonnet uses a different latch and is not covered by this set.

Do they damage the paint?

The opposite. Bare metal hitting bare metal is what chips the paint around the door frame. The silicone sits between the two and takes the wear instead.
